Kaptar Pest Control Services & Covid-19

Dear Kootenai and Spokane County community members, patrons, and friends,

Our local team at Kaptar Environmental hope you are all doing well and staying healthy during the current shelter order in place. We’re doing what we can to help in this time of unease, and wanted to share a bit of information with you.

We’re still available to take care of any of your pest control needs. Because pests will still be out in full force, pest control has been deemed an essential service. But trust us, even though some of our pest control professionals are still out servicing, we’re not taking this shelter order lightly.

To ensure our professionals and our clients are safe, we’re taking every precautionary measure we can when out in the field. Before and after every service, our field technicians sanitize their hands, door handles, steering wheels, and any other commonly touched surfaces. The interior areas of our service vehicles are also deep cleaned and sanitized daily. We are also wearing gloves prior to ringing your doorbell and knocking on your doors.

Even with all the sanitation methods we’ve put in place, we understand that having someone come into the home during this time can be uncomfortable. That being said, we’re offering a line of exterior only treatments for most pests that would be warrantied.

We understand the economic hardship associated with the shelter order due to Covid-19. So, we’re offering discounted pest control treatments for all springtime pests until the end of May. As always, we offer free consultations and inspections, if you’re concerned about a pest problem don’t hesitate to call us. Being a local company, we rely on our community and we’ll do everything we can to help in this time of uncertainty. Whether it's for pest control advice or a discounted treatment, we’re here to help!

As the temperatures drop and winter sets in, it’s tempting to think that pest problems have disappeared with the warm weather. After all, mosquitoes are gone, ants aren’t marching across the kitchen, and flies have stopped buzzing around. However, the absence of visible pests doesn’t mean they’ve vanished entirely. In fact, winter can be one of the most important times to maintain regular pest control services. Winter pest control ensures your home remains protected from pests that are still active, often hidden, and potentially dangerous. Let’s explore why pest control is essential even during the colder months.

Ant Fact Number Twenty Four
By jonathan ratautas March 27, 2021
By following pheromone trails laid by scout ants from their colony, foraging ants can gather and store food efficiently. A scout ant first leaves the nest in search of food, wandering somewhat randomly until it discovers something edible. It then consumes some of the food and returns to the nest in a direct line.
